My General Radahn Roleplay Build in Elden Ring

Like so many Tarnished, I cannot get General Radahn out of my head. That festival, that arena, the way he comet-dives from the sky—it is one of the most intense moments in Elden Ring. Naturally, I wanted to roleplay as the Starscourge Demigod himself. Can you truly copy a legend? Not completely, no. His loyal steed Leonard and his orbital plunge are impossible to recreate, but with the right armor, weapons, and gravity sorceries, you can get surprisingly close. Even in 2026, this build still feels incredible. This is how I built my own Radahn-inspired character.

🛡️ The Centerpiece: General Radahn Set

The unmistakable first step is the General Radahn Set. I earned it by defeating him in battle, then purchased the pieces from Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The head, chest, arms, and legs cost 32,000 Runes in total. That sounds like a lot early on, but after the Radahn Festival you probably have plenty of runes from the fight and the surrounding region. More importantly, Enia also sells his unique weapons: the Starscourge Greatsword and the Lion Greatbow. Here is the tricky part: you need two Remembrances of the Starscourge to get both armaments. So I had to find one of the seven Walking Mausoleums in the Lands Between and duplicate the Remembrance. That step is easy to forget, but it makes a huge difference.

To keep my shopping list clear, I broke it down like this:

🏹 Ammunition and Ranged Pressure

A Radahn build without his bow feels incomplete. The Lion Greatbow uses Radahn's Spear, a type of Great Arrow. I was relieved to learn I could hold up to 30 Radahn's Spears at a time. Enia sells them without limit for 800 Runes each. I recommend stocking up before heading into major fights, because ranged pressure is part of Radahn's identity. Does it matter if a few arrows miss? Not really, because the visual of firing huge purple-tinted shots is worth it.

🪐 Gravity Sorceries and the Meteorite Staff

Here is where many players hesitate. Radahn used gravity magic, but he is not a traditional mage. If I wanted to replicate those purple gravitational attacks, I needed a Glintstone Staff. The best choice for Gravity Sorceries is the Meteorite Staff, thanks to its gravity boost. I found it in the eastern portion of the Street of Sages Ruins in Caelid's Aeonia Swamp. This area is dangerous early, but it fits the theme perfectly.

Then I needed the two gravity sorceries Radahn actually used: Rock Sling and Collapsing Stars. Rock Sling is relatively close to the Meteorite Staff. I poked around the ruins north of the staff and found a small unlocked crypt with the sorcery sitting in a trunk. Collapsing Stars, though, took more work. It is inside a chest on the bottom floor of the War-Dead Catacombs, a dungeon on the northeastern side of Radahn's arena. After beating the Starscourge General, I could enter those catacombs. But be careful: there is a never-ending battle between the spirits of Cleanrot Knights and Radahn Soldiers near that chest. That detail made the descent feel exactly like Radahn's lore.

Do I actually use Collapsing Stars often? Yes, because it pulls enemies toward me, just like Radahn's gravity pull. That small touch makes every fight feel more like the festival.

Ultimately, I cannot ride Leonard or drop from orbit, but this setup gives me the armor, the colossal swords, the greatbow, and the gravitational magic that define Radahn. If you have ever wondered whether a Starscourge roleplay build is possible, my answer is a strong yes. It takes some runes, a remembrance duplication, and a bit of exploration through Caelid, but the result is worth it.
